BESIG conference 2010 in Bielefeld, Germany
This year’s BESIG conference is taking place in Bielefeld from November 19th – 21st. As in recent years a number of LTC trainers will be attending, with some also presenting. The conference presents yet another great opportunity to learn and exchange ideas about methodology and materials with other Business English professionals. This year, LTC Team member Mike Hogan will also be presenting his forthcoming book “Business English for Beginners” on behalf of Cornelsen Verlag. LTC is proud, once again, to support its trainers in participating in this conference.

LTC Trainer Workshops in Bayreuth and Frankfurt – Motivation
Mike Hogan recently held two lively LTC Trainer Workshops in Bayreuth and Frankfurt on the topic of ‘Motivation’. Focus was placed on various types of motivation coming from both intrinsic and extrinsic sources. The aim of boosting and maintaining motivation in both learners and trainers was a key focus.

Languages & Business 2010
The 9th annual conference “Languages & Business” is just around the corner.
This year LTC is happy to be actively taking part and presenting within the session on “Innovative Learning Technologies”. Here you have the opportunity to meet LTC and get to know our team and company. Together with our training partner Training Express from Spain our presentation “The Best of Two Worlds: How to Combine Personal Training and Web 2.0” will look at how new technologies are facilitating teacher learner interaction and examine the best way to choose a virtual solution while introducing the platform ISUS: I speak U speak.

LTC launches ISUS
ISUS – I Speak U Speak – is the new innovative learning technology which LTC has now added to its portfolio. The concept includes a blend of online learning in combination with telephone training. LTC Trainer Workshop in Berlin – Learner Autonomy
Andi White held a very interesting and lively LTC Trainer Workshop in Berlin on the topic of ‘Learner Autonomy’. Focus was placed on resources and methodology for trainers and learners to make independent learning effective and individual. There was a good turnout of our Berlin trainer team at the workshop following which the discussion flowed over into lunch.

Mike Hogan joins the LTC Team in Hamburg
Following 9 years with LTC as Trainer, Training Manager and Teacher Trainer based in southern Germany, Mike is now part of the LTC Team in our Headquarters in Hamburg in which he is now focusing on Business Development. He is, of course, still remaining true to his passion as Coach and Management Trainer.
